    Description: This recall involves Rene Rofe Girl Children’s Blanket sleepers and hooded robes. The 100% polyester blanket sleepers and robes were sold in sizes for ages 6 – 14 years. The size, “Rene Rofe Girl,” Style # 426989 or 436989, PO #JZJ0005, washing instructionsand Date 6/1 are printed on the neck label. One of the following GPU #’s are also listed ACG2103, ACG2101, ACG2106, ACG2107, ACG2104, ACG2109, ACG2105, ACG2102, ACG2108, ACG2112, ACG2110, ACG2115, ACG2116, ACG2113, ACG2118, ACG2114, ACG2111, ACG2117.

    Remedy: Consumers should immediately take the recalled blanket sleepers and robes away from children, stop using them and contact International Intimates for a full refund. Consumers should destroy the garments by cutting them in half and send International Intimates a photo of the destroyed recalled product by email at recall@renerofe.com. Upon receipt of the photo, consumers will be issued a full refund of the purchase price.

    Name of Product: HONEY JOY Infant Swings

    Hazard: The swing violates the Safe Sleep for Babies Act because the product was marketed for infant sleep and has an incline angle greater than 10 degrees. Infant fatalities have occurred in inclined sleepers, after the infants rolled from their back to their stomach or side while unrestrained, or under other circumstances. The swing also violates the Safety Standard for Infant Swings.

    Description: The recall involves HONEY JOY COMPANY infant swings, models BB5569US-GR in gray and BB5569US-BE in beige, made of metal and plastic with a cloth seat. The swings measure about 28 inches wide by 28 inches high and 24 inches wide. “Babyjoy” is displayed on the front of the swings and on the seat label. The infant swings include a head pillow, five-point restraint system, canopy with hanging toys, a music function and an adjustable seat. The swings can be powered using AAA batteries or an AC adaptor and include a remote control with Bluetooth functionality. The full model number can be found on the packaging, the instructional literature identifies model BB5569 and the product registration card, which consumers may have saved for their records identifies model BB5569US.

    Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled infant swing and contact HONEY JOY for instructions on how to receive a full refund and properly dispose of the product. HONEY JOY and Amazon are contacting all known purchasers.

    Description: 

    Washington, D.C. – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Buffalo Games LLC, of Buffalo, New York, are announcing the recall of about 52,000 Chuckle & Roar Ultimate Water Beads Activity Kits due to ingestion, choking and obstruction hazards. The water beads pose a risk of serious injury or death if ingested. When ingested, the beads grow in size, which can cause intestinal obstruction.

    Buffalo Games received one report of a 10-month-old child’s death from swallowing the recalled water beads in July 2023 in Wisconsin. Buffalo Games also received a report that a 9-month-old child was seriously injured in November 2022 in Maine from swallowing the water beads which caused an intestinal obstruction requiring surgery to remove them.

    Consumers should immediately stop using and take the recalled Chuckle & Roar Ultimate Water Beads Activity Kits away from children. Contact Buffalo Games for a full refund and instructions on how to return the product in a prepaid mailing package supplied by the firm or return the product to any Target store.

    This recall involves the Chuckle & Roar Ultimate Water Beads Activity Kit. On the front of the purple container, the label states Ultimate Water Beads Activity Kit. It includes: 2 ounces of “jumbo” water beads and 6 ounces of “regular” water beads. Along with a clear container and lid, there are five small toy fish, a scissor scoop, tweezers, a scoop with a handle, 10 activity cards and instructions. The activity kit was sold in a purple box with UPC Number 079346627035 on the back.

    The recalled Chuckle & Roar Ultimate Water Beads Activity Kits were sold exclusively at Target stores nationwide and online at Target.com from March 2022 through November 2022 for about $15.

    The products were manufactured in China and were imported by Target Corporation of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

    Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using and take away the recalled water beads from children. Contact Buffalo Games for a full refund and instructions on how to return the product in a prepaid mailing package supplied by the firm or return the product to any Target store.

  • Zipadee Kids Recalls Convertible House Bed Frames and Montessori Floor Beds Due to Entrapment and Strangulation Hazards

    Name of Product: Zipadee Kids Convertible House Bed Frames and Montessori Floor Beds

    Hazard: The spindles used on the recalled beds are spaced at a distance that creates a serious entrapment hazard that can lead to strangulation and/or death to children. The design of the bed allows a child’s torso to slip through the rail opening but will not allow their head to pass, posing entrapment and strangulation hazards that could result in death.

    Description: This recall involves Zipadee Montessori beds sold in twin, full, and queen size variations of the “Convertible House Bed Frame” and “Montessori Floor Bed.” They were shipped between February 26, 2018 and October 22, 2021. Zipadee also sold toddler-size Montessori beds which were manufactured between May and September 2018. The beds are all natural wood floor beds that can be raised or converted to adjust for a child’s sleeping needs as they grow and develop. The beds are intended for children 18 months and older.

    Remedy: CPSC urges consumers to dispose of the recalled beds and NOT to resell or donate them. It is a violation of federal law to sell or distribute recalled products. The firm has filed for dissolution with the State of Ohio and has represented to CPSC that it is unable to offer a remedy to consumers.

    Incidents/Injuries: At least two children have become entrapped in the bed rails. They include a 21-month-old boy (no injuries sustained) and a 4-year-old girl in February 2023 who sustained minor injuries.

    Recall Details

    Units: About 84,000 (In addition, 533 were sold in Canada)

    Description: This recall involves all sizes of woom ORIGINAL 2018 – 2021 model bikes. The stems on these bikes have one silver bolt to clamp onto the steerer tube. These bikes are designed for children between 18 months and 14 years. They were sold in six versions: woom 1, woom 1 Plus, woom 2, woom 3, woom 4, woom 5 and woom 6.  The woom 1 and woom 1 PLUS are balance bikes, woom 2 through 6 are pedal bikes. These bikes were sold in red, green, blue, purple and yellow colors. The word “woom” in white letters is displayed on the sides of the downtube. The word “woom” in metallic letters is also visible on the front of the headtube. The markings “#woombikes” in black letters on chain stay and wheel size in black on sides of the front fork.

    Remedy: Consumers should stop using the recalled bicycles and contact woom Bikes USA for a free repair kit. woom Bikes USA is contacting all known purchasers directly.

    Incidents/Injuries: The firm has received 77 reports of the handlebar stem detaching or loosening, resulting in 19 injuries involving bruising, cuts or abrasions.

    Sold At: woom.com, amazon.com and select local bicycle stores nationwide from September 2018 through March 2022 for between $200 and $530.
