Description:  The BreathableBaby BreathableSacks are sleeveless, wearable blankets. They come in two sizes: small (10-18 pounds) and medium (16-24 pounds) and come in three colors: kiwi Whoo, pink Hip, and blue Splash. There is one animal stitched on the left chest of each blanket of an owl, hippo or elephant. Only BreathableSacks from Lot No. 124 with a manufacture date of 04/17/2012 are included in the recall.  A tag sewn inside the recalled units where the infant’s right foot would be located states the “Date of Manufacture: 04/17/2012, Lot No. 124,” along with the washing instructions on the back of the tag.

Incidents/Injuries: None reported

Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the BreathableSacks from Lot No. 124 and contact BreathableBaby to request a replacement garment.

Description: This recall involves children’s sitting stool, sold as part of the Circo-brand Chloe & Conner Collection. Assembled stools measure 11 inches tall by 11 inches wide by 11 inches deep.  The painted wood stools were sold in red, white, navy and pink.  Item numbers 249200218 (red), 249200207 (white), 249200217 (navy), 249200208 (pink) are printed on a sticker on the underside of the stools.

Incidents/Injuries: Target has received seven reports of the stools breaking or collapsing and causing a child to fall. In five of the reported incidents, bumps, bruises and cuts were reported.

Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the stool and return it to a Target store for a full refund.

Description: Infinitoy Inc. is recalling the Super Safari Set model #30025 and the Deluxe Circus Train Set model #30040. The model number can be found on the back of the box in the lower right corner. The sets come in a white box with “Softimals. Build, Play, Repeat” and “Ages 1 ½ to 5” printed in a colorful font on the front and back of the package. The sets have numerous plastic pieces that can be connected and fit together to build a vehicle pulling cars with a hippo, giraffe, zebra and other animals. The drivers of the lead vehicles, Safari Sam and Mighty Mike, have removable blue or yellow plastic hats.

Incidents/Injuries: CPSC is aware of one incident in which an 18-month-old child placed a hat in their mouth and started to gag/choke but the toy was removed. No injuries have been reported.

Hazard: The footed pajamas fail to meet the federal flammability standard for children’s sleepwear, posing a burn hazard to children.  The garments are being recalled because they do not meet the tight-fitting sizing requirements.

Remedy: Refund – Consumers should immediately take the recalled pajamas away from children and return them to any The Children’s Place store for a full refund.

Description: This recall involves three styles of The Children’s Place bunny-themed one-piece cotton footed pajamas. One style is pink with dark pink bunnies and a ruffle at the neck. It was sold in size 9-12 months. This style has a sewn-in label at the side seam with both 2158 and one or more of the following numbers: 042521, 042523, 042571, 042572, 042774 or 042816.  The other two styles are both blue/green with bunnies on the feet and bunny print fabric. They were sold in sizes 9-12 months, 12-18 months, 18-24 months, 2T and 3T.  One style has bunnies with eyeglasses. The other has bunnies and yellow chicks. Both styles have a sewn-in label at the side seam with both 2598 and one or more of the following numbers: 030647, 030779, 038826, 670409, 670602, 670603 or 945210. “Made with love by PLACE” with a heart outline is printed at the neck of the pajamas.

Hazard: A metal rod holding small beads on the cover of books can detach and release small parts that present a choking hazard. A detached metal bar can expose a sharp edge posing a laceration hazard.

The toys do not show up on an x-ray and need surgery to be removed from the body.

This recall involves Monster Science Growing Spider toy sets, model number 7280. The sets contain marble-sized polymer ball “spider eggs” that can absorb from 300 to 800 times their weight in water and can grow up to eight times their original size. The sets consist of one polymer spider and three “spider eggs”. The Be Amazing! Toys star logo and the words Monster Science Growing Spider, Ages 8+, Just drop in water, Grow Giant Spider Eggs and Eggs Grow Up to 8X Original Size are printed on the front of the packaging. The model number is on the bottom of the back of the packaging. The front and back of the packaging have warnings not to use the toy without adult supervision.

Incidents/Injuries: None reported. CPSC is aware of one incident with a similar water absorbing polymer ball product in which an 8-month-old girl ingested the ball and it had to be surgically removed.

Description:

Cosmo Beads Jumbo Size Colorful Water Balls and Jumbo Multipurpose Colorful Water Balls toys are being recalled. The toys are water absorbing beads that when placed in water will hydrate up to the size of a racquetball. On the front of the toy packages it states Cosmo Beads™ Colorful Water Balls, Just Add Water, Biodegradable, Non-toxic and Colorfast. The packages have yellow and black color on the upper left corner and red in the lower right corner. The beads can be seen through an oval, cellophane window near the bottom of the package.

Cosmo Beads Jumbo Size were sold as single packets of beads in various colors: clear, green, purple, red and mixed colors. Each packet contains a variety of bead sizes. The front of the Jumbo Size package has a picture of a hand holding two water balls and the words “Grows up to 600X (1.5”) Size.”

Cosmo Beads Jumbo Multipurpose came in three packets per set. Each packet contains beads in one size and comes in clear, dark purple and orange colors. The front of the Jumbo Multipurpose packet has a picture of flowers in a glass vase and the words “Deco Centerpiece: Toys-Games: Plant-Vacation watering.”

Incidents/Injuries: None reported. CPSC is aware of one incident where an 8-month-old girl ingested a similar water-absorbing polymer ball that had to be surgically removed.

Remedy:  Consumers should immediately take this recalled toy away from children and contact Eco-Novelty for a refund.

Name of product: Motrin Infants’ Drops in ½ fl oz size, Original Berry Flavor

The Hazard: A lot of the baby pain reliever/fever reducer was found to contain tiny plastic particles about the size of a poppy seed.

Description: About 200,000 bottles are being recalled because a lot was found to contain tiny plastic particles during manufacturing. That lot did not go to market but other lots made with the same batch of active ingredient, ibuprofen, are being recalled. The recalled bottles have the following lot numbers: DCB3T01, DDB4R01, DDB4S01. UPC code for all is 300450524157.
What to do: If you find the recalled product in your home, stop using it and throw it away. Consumers wishing for a refund should call 1-877-414-7709.

Name of product: Buckyballs high-powered magnet sets

Hazard: When two or more magnets are swallowed, they can link together inside a child’s intestines and clamp onto body tissues, causing intestinal obstructions, perforations, sepsis and death. Internal injury from magnets can pose serious lifelong health effects.

Description: This recall involves high-powered magnets sets with the brand name Buckyballs. The sets contain 216 silver-colored, spherical rare earth magnets, each about five millimeters in diameter.

Incidents/Injuries: Toys R Us has received no reports of injuries. CPSC has received 54 reports of incidents involving children ingesting high-powered magnets resulting in 53 reports of medical intervention.

Remedy: Consumers should stop using the recalled high-powered magnet sets immediately, take all associated individual magnets away from children and teenagers and contact Toys R Us as listed above for a full refund. Toys R Us will contact each purchasing customer directly to coordinate the recall. Returns of the magnet sets will not be accepted in stores.
