November 13, 2023, Los Angeles, California – KinderFarms, LLC is voluntarily recalling all lots of KinderMed Infants’ Pain & Fever (oral suspension) and KinderMed Kids’ Pain & Fever (oral suspension) to the retail and consumer level. These products are being voluntarily recalled due to acetaminophen instability. The two products were manufactured and packaged for KinderFarms by a major, U.S.-based OTC pharmaceutical manufacturer with over 30 years of experience. Ongoing testing of sample batches indicated some product lots were no longer in specification and may pose a health risk. Out of an abundance of caution, KinderFarms has made the decision to voluntarily recall all KinderMed Pain & Fever products.
Acetaminophen is the active ingredient in many pain-relieving medicines. As a result of the potential health risk with acetaminophen being outside of specification, the product may cause acute adverse health effects, including abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting or jaundice at higher doses.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – A new report from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is highlighting the importance of safety when buying and playing with kids’ toys – even for older children. CPSC’s Toy-Related Deaths and Injuriesreport found there were 11 deaths, and an estimated 145,500 emergency department-treated (ED) injuries in 2022 associated with toys for children 12 years and younger.
The majority of the 11 deaths reported were attributed to choking or asphyxiation associated with small parts, balls, or balloons. Among the ED-treated injuries, non-motorized scooters accounted for the largest share of injuries across all age groups – 35,400. Non-motorized scooters accounted for one in every 5 toy-related injuries to children aged 14 and younger.
While the report showed year-over-year shifts in injuries and deaths, CPSC researchers observed a statistically significant downward trend from 2015 to 2022 in toy-related injuries for children 14 years and younger. There was a nearly 12% decrease in the estimate of toy-related ED treated injuries from 2015 (181,600) to 2022 (159,500) for children 14 years and younger whereas children under the age of 13 saw a 16% decrease (173,200 to 145,500).
Consumers should not only “think safety” about what they buy for children but should also be vigilant about where gifts are purchased, especially online. As e-commerce retailing continues to grow year-over-year for holiday sales, Chair Hoehn-Saric is urging caution when turning to online retail outlets. “Consumers expect the products they purchase online to be as safe as those they buy in brick-and-mortar stores,” Chair Hoehn-Saric said. “While this is true when buying online directly from a manufacturer, purchasing from an online marketplace that services other sellers raises additional risks. Consumers need to educate themselves not only about what they buy, but where and from whom. It’s important not to sacrifice safety.”
CPSC recommends following these tips when purchasing products online:
Remember that when buying gifts online you could be purchasing directly from a manufacturer, or going through a retailer, or a third-party seller. In each instance, if you have a problem with a product or want to return or exchange it where you purchased the product matters. Look for the “sold by” information when purchasing from an online marketplace.
Do more than skim product descriptions. Always read to the bottom of the listing or check drop-down menus for additional safety information, especially when shopping for children. Also, read customer reviews to see what other consumers have experienced with the product.
Look for a certification mark on toys from an independent testing organization on the manufacturer’s label.
If purchasing second-hand products from an online marketplace, check to see whether products have been recalled before you buy by going to CPSC.gov/recalls.
Buy from reputable dealers and if the price seems too good to be true, this can be a sign that the product is not authentic or original, and may be unsafe.
CPSC is highlighting the following additional safety tips for safe and happy holiday activities including toy-buying, cooking and decorating.
Toys
Follow age guidance and other safety information on toy packaging and choose toys that match each child’s interests and abilities.
Get safety gear, including helmets, for scooters and other riding toys–and make sure that children use them every time.
Keep small balls and toys with small parts away from children younger than age 3 and keep deflated balloons away from children younger than age 8.
Once the gifts are open, immediately discard plastic wrappings or other packaging on toys before they become dangerous playthings.
Cooking
CPSC recommends following these tips for safe and fire-free holiday cooking:
Never leave cooking food unattended on the stove or in the oven.
Only fry a turkey outside and away from your home or other flammable materials. Never use turkey fryers in an enclosed area like the garage or on the porch.
Holiday Decorations
Keep holiday decorating merry, bright, and safe with these tips:
Make sure your live Christmas tree has plenty of water and look for the “Fire Resistant” label when buying an artificial tree.
Never leave candles unattended. Place burning candles in sight, away from flammable items, and blow or snuff them out before leaving the room. Use flameless candles whenever possible.
Never string together more than three sets of incandescent lights, and never overload electrical outlets.
Description: This recall involves four styles of iMOONZZZ-branded children’s nightgowns. The nightgowns were sold in sizes 3-4T, 5-6 Years, 6-7 Years, 7-8 Years, 8-9 Years, and 10-12 Years. “iMOONZZZ,” “Made in China,” the size, the fiber content and the washing instructions are printed on a sewn-in, side-seam label.

Description: This recall involves all sizes of LETTAN flat mirrors. The mirrors are frameless, about 38 inches high and were sold in 23, 31, 39 and 47 inches wide. LETTAN mirrors affected by this recall for repair now include: all LETTAN mirrors with a date stamp before and including 2105 (YYWW), and LETTAN mirrors with supplier number 21944 and a date stamp before and including 2325 (YYWW). The date stamp is in (YYWW) format where the first two digits represent the year, and the last two digits represent the week of manufacture. The date stamp is located on the back of the mirror.
Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled mirrors and contact IKEA to order a free set of replacement wall fittings and instructions. Alternatively, customers can return the mirror to any IKEA store for a full refund. Proof of purchase (receipt) is not required to receive a full refund.
Incidents/Injuries: IKEA has received 10 incident reports globally in addition to the 55 reported in the previous recall, and one report of the plastic fittings coming loose and the mirror falling off the wall in the U.S. in addition to the one in the previous recall. No injuries have been reported.

Description: This recall involves Cosco Jump, Spin & Play Activity Centers with model numbers WA105FZW and WA105GML. The activity centers have a circular hoop base and three poles from which a child seat with a play tray is suspended by three straps. The activity centers are sold in blue and pink, and feature two removable toy animals on the play tray at the front of the seat as well as two toy animals hanging from the front two poles. The activity centers can be adjusted to three different heights.
Remedy: Consumers should stop using the recalled activity centers immediately and contact Dorel for a replacement. Consumers will be instructed to cut through the straps of the activity centers and send a photo of the cut straps to Dorel to receive a free replacement activity center.
Incidents/Injuries: The firm has received 141 reports of the straps detaching or breaking including 38 minor injuries involving bumps, bruises and scratches.

Hazard: The recalled children’s blanket sleepers and robes fail to meet the federal flammability standards for children’s sleepwear, posing a risk of burn injuries to children.
Description: This recall involves Rene Rofe Girl Children’s Blanket sleepers and hooded robes. The 100% polyester blanket sleepers and robes were sold in sizes for ages 6 – 14 years. The size, “Rene Rofe Girl,” Style # 426989 or 436989, PO #JZJ0005, washing instructionsand Date 6/1 are printed on the neck label. On average, about eight children under five years of age die every year from strangling in window blinds, shades, draperies and other window coverings with cords.
There have been over 200 incidents involving children up to eight years old due to strangulation hazards on window covering cords*. Injuries varied from a scar around the neck, quadriplegia and permanent brain damage.
CPSC encourages you to buy and install cordless window coverings, which are available at most retailers. When buying online, look for products described as cordless.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is warning consumers to immediately stop using 5in1 Rocker Bassinets because they pose suffocation, strangulation, and fall hazards to infants.
The bassinets fail to meet the safety requirements of CPSC’s Infant Sleep Products Rule. The products do not conform to the safety requirements for bassinets and lack required markings, labeling, and instructions. The bassinets and their packaging also lack a tracking label containing certain information, such as the date of manufacture, required for children’s products including durable infant or toddler products.
The importer, Rev Grace Import Inc., of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, is not cooperating with the CPSC on the recall of this product and not offering a remedy to consumers.
The bassinets were sold online at Walmart.com and other websites. The bassinets were sold in green and gray color schemes and advertised and listed as a 5in1 Rocker Bassinet on the product packaging. The markings “Ya.Ya.Ya, 5IN1UPC Code 09331849600139, 01 Rock Sleeper, 02 Dream Centre, 03 Cozy Seat, 04 Travel Bassinet, 05 Rock & Play, Made in China, and Age 1-36 months” also appear on the packaging.
CPSC urges consumers to immediately stop using the bassinets, disassemble them and dispose of them. Although the Infant Sleep Products Rule applies to products manufactured after June 23, 2022, CPSC urges firms to stop sale of non-compliant infant sleep products regardless of the date of manufacture. Report any incidents involving product injuries or defects to CPSC at www.SaferProducts.gov.
Parents and caregivers are reminded:
The best place for an infant to sleep is on a firm, flat surface in a crib, bassinet or play yard.
Use a fitted sheet only and never add blankets, pillows, padded crib bumpers, or other items to an infant’s sleeping environment.
Infants should always be placed to sleep on their back. Infants who fall asleep in an inclined or upright position should be moved to a safe sleep environment with a firm, flat surface such as a crib, bassinet or play yard.

Hazard: The swing violates the Safe Sleep for Babies Act because the product was marketed for infant sleep and has an incline angle greater than 10 degrees. Infant fatalities have occurred in inclined sleepers, after the infants rolled from their back to their stomach or side while unrestrained, or under other circumstances. The swing also violates the Safety Standard for Infant Swings.
Description: The recall involves HONEY JOY COMPANY infant swings, models BB5569US-GR in gray and BB5569US-BE in beige, made of metal and plastic with a cloth seat. The swings measure about 28 inches wide by 28 inches high and 24 inches wide. “Babyjoy” is displayed on the front of the swings and on the seat label. The infant swings include a head pillow, five-point restraint system, canopy with hanging toys, a music function and an adjustable seat. The swings can be powered using AAA batteries or an AC adaptor and include a remote control with Bluetooth functionality. The full model number can be found on the packaging, the instructional literature identifies model BB5569 and the product registration card, which consumers may have saved for their records identifies model BB5569US.
Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled infant swing and contact HONEY JOY for instructions on how to receive a full refund and properly dispose of the product. HONEY JOY and Amazon are contacting all known purchasers.
