WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is warning consumers to immediately stop using Chad & Jake children’s robes because they can catch fire, posing a risk of burn injuries to children. The children’s robes fail to comply with federal safety regulations for children’s sleepwear.
Children’s sleepwear that is not flame-resistant and cannot self-extinguish poses a burn risk to children if they come into contact with flames from sources such as matches, lighters, candles, ranges, stoves, space heaters, fireplaces, etc.
The CPSC sent a Notice of Violation to the retailer, Black Olive Partners LLC, of Boca Raton, Florida, doing business as Designs by Chad & Jake. Chad & Jake has not agreed to recall these children’s robes or offer a remedy to consumers.
CPSC tested the children’s robes in size 1/2, with White with Purple Trim. CPSC is aware that the firm also sold additional colors/styles: White with Black Trim, White with Pink Gingham Trim, White with Red Trim, White with Hunter Green Trim, White with Blue Gingham Trim, White with Royal Blue Trim, White with Navy Trim, Black with Black Trim, Red with Red Trim, Royal Blue with Royal Blue Trim, and Navy Blue with Navy Blue Trim.
The 100% cotton, terry cloth children’s robes are long-sleeved, hooded robes with a belt attached. The hood, wrists, belt, down the front center and hem of the robe have colored trim. Some robes have monograms embroidered on the upper right-hand corner of the robe with a child’s name and/or logo/emoji. “Designs by Chad & Jake” and www.CHADandJAKE.com are printed on the front of the neck label. “MADE IN CHINA”, “RN 165297”, batch number and washing instructions are printed on the back of the neck label.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is warning consumers to immediately stop using and dispose of Kindly Toys Customized Busy Board Toys because the toys have small parts that can break off, posing a choking hazard to young children.
CPSC issued a Notice of Violation to the seller, Kindly Toys, of Vietnam, but the firm has not been responsive to CPSC’s request for a recall of this product.
The wooden board toy includes letters, shapes, a clock, a car and a plane that detach from the board. There are additional pieces with interactive movement that do not detach from the board. The hands of the clock, beads, and propeller of the plane components of the product can break, creating small parts that pose a choking hazard. There are no markings on the product. The letters are customizable at the time of order to spell any name.
The Customized Busy Board Toys are being sold online at kindlytoys.com and Amazon.com for about $50.
CPSC urges consumers to stop using the toys immediately and dispose of them. Do not sell or give away these hazardous toys.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is warning consumers to immediately stop using Swagtron SG-5 Swagger 5 Boost Commuter Electric Scooters because they pose fire and burn hazards. CPSC has received seven reports of the electric scooters overheating, smoking, melting, or igniting, with one ignition resulting in a fire causing a burn injury and substantial property damage to a residential apartment building in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in November 2023.
Swagtron, of South Bend, Indiana has not been responsive to CPSC’s request for information about this product or for CPSC’s request for a recall.
CPSC is also aware of 139 reports of fire or other thermal incidents involving other Swagtron products. Consumers should consider these reports, the lack of information about compliance with voluntary safety standards, and the company’s failure to provide safety information about their products to CPSC when deciding whether to buy or use the company’s products.
CPSC urges consumers to immediately stop using and charging these electric scooters and dispose of them following local hazardous waste disposal procedures.
The electric scooters are sold in black or silver colors. “SWAGGER 5” is printed in large lettering on the stem of the handlebars The electric scooters are sold at Tractor Supply, Best Buy, Walmart, Sam’s Club and online at SWAGTRON.com, Amazon.com, eBay.com, Walmart.com, BestBuy.com, SamsClub.com and TractorSupply.com from 2019 to the present for between $140 and $607.
Note: Lithium-ion batteries should be disposed of in accordance with any local and state ordinances, following the procedures established by your municipal recycling center for lithium batteries, because these potentially hazardous batteries must be handled differently than other batteries. Do not throw this battery in the trash.

Hazard: The recalled helmets do not comply with the positional stability, retention system, impact, labeling and certification requirements of the mandatory federal safety regulations for bicycle helmets. Remedy: Consumers should stop using the recalled Droyd helmets immediately and contact Reyhee for a full refund. Name of Product: Droyd Fury Youth All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs)
Hazard: The recalled youth ATVs fail to comply with the requirements of the federal mandatory ATV regulations. The handlebars pose a laceration hazard if the child rider’s body or head impacts the handlebars at a high rate of speed. ATVs that fail to meet the mandatory safety requirements pose a risk of serious injury or death.
Description: This recall involves the Droyd Fury Youth ATV, model number “XW-A01”, intended for children 6 years and older. The ATVs were sold in three colors: Speed Red, Power Blue and Force Green. The model name “FURY” is printed on the front and sides of the ATV. The model number can be found on the identification plate located under the front left fender, which also states, “This ATV is subject to the Jinling International, Inc. ATV Action Plan filed with and approved by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.”
Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Droyd ATVs and contact Reyhee Group for a free repair kit, consisting of a replacement handlebar cover and new safety warning labels. Reyhee Group is contacting all known purchasers directly.

Between 2012 and 2022, there have been reports of five deaths involving infants 1 to 3 months of age when the product was used for sleep. In most of those incidents, the infants were unrestrained and bedding materials were added to the product.
Consumers are reminded to never use these products for sleep and to never add blankets or other materials to the swing, even after the headrest and the body support insert have been removed. Parents and caregivers should never use any inclined seated products, such as swings, gliders, soothers, and rockers, for infant sleep and should not leave infants in these products unsupervised, unrestrained, or with bedding material due to the risk of suffocation.
Since 2010, approximately 2.1 million swings were sold in the United States, about 99,000 swings were sold in Canada and about 500 swings were sold in Mexico.
The recalled Snuga Swing is an infant swing with a front to back and side-to-side motion. The swing has 90 degrees of rotation, two seat back positions and folds up for storage. The Snuga Swing platform has a total of 21 models, which feature the same design with minor differences in fabric colors and toy accessories. The following chart includes a complete list of Snuga Swing models included in the recall. The model number and name are printed on the underside of the swing motor housing.

CPSC continues to urge consumers to place infants on their backs for sleep. The best place for an infant to sleep is on a firm, flat surface in a crib, bassinet, or play yard, with nothing but a fitted sheet. Infants who fall asleep in an inclined or upright position should be moved to a safe sleep environment with a firm, flat surface such as a crib, bassinet, or play yard. In 2022, Congress enacted the Safe Sleep for Babies Act, under which inclined sleepers for infants are banned hazardous products.
The Snuga Swings were sold at Amazon, Toys R Us, Walmart/Sams Club, and Target nationwide from October 2010 through January 2024 for about $160.
The swings were distributed by Fisher-Price of East Aurora, New York. The swings are manufactured in China and Mexico.
Remedy: Consumers should immediately remove both the headrest (by cutting the tether) and the body support insert from the seat pad before continuing to use the swing. Fisher-Price will provide a $25 refund to consumers who remove and destroy the headrest and body support insert. Instructions can be found at www.service.mattel.com.

Description: This recall involves Gimars Playpens with model numbers GWL-01, GWL-02, GWL-03, GWL-04, GWL-05 and GWL-06. The playpens are labeled with the product name “Gimars Playpen with mat” on a label attached to the top rail. “Gimars” is also printed in white on one side of the top rail. The playpens are dark gray, black and light gray fabric with white mesh sides. The mattress is reversible with printed road and animal designs. The playpens come with a basketball hoop that attaches to the top rail and multicolored balls.
Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using and keep children away from the recalled playpens. Consumers should disassemble the playpen and cut the fabric floor, mattress pad and basketball hoop accessory each into two pieces. Then, consumers should upload photos of the cut product using the online submission form or email the photos to Gimars-Aftersales@outlook.com to obtain a full refund. Shenzhen Jingdu Technology and Amazon are contacting all known purchasers directly.

Description: This recall involves NPW Halloween Projector Flashlights. The flashlight is orange with white stripes and a black end piece and measures about six inches long by one inch wide. The product comes with three Halloween themed projector covers, including pumpkin, ghost and skull patterns that fit over the black end piece to change the pattern of the flashlight. The flashlight uses two AA batteries.
Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled flashlights and return them to any Target store for a full refund. Consumers should turn off the product, remove the batteries, mark the product with “recalled” in permanent marker prior to returning the flashlight to Target. Target is contacting all known purchasers directly.

America’s young people are the future of our Nation. Each of them deserves the opportunity to thrive and reach their full potential. This National Youth Substance Use Prevention Month, we recommit to providing all youth with the resources and support they need to lead healthy lives and achieve their dreams.
Addressing the opioid and overdose epidemic is a key priority of my Unity Agenda. Preventing substance use before it starts is a crucial part of a comprehensive approach to addressing the overdose crisis.
That is why, as President, I am taking bold action to help schools, families, and communities to prevent youth substance use and improve the well-being of our Nation’s youth. Through the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, my Administration made the largest investment in youth mental health ever, including $1 billion of funding to train and hire new school based mental health professionals across the country. We are supporting substance use prevention training for school administrators and counselors and improving mental health and substance use screening tools so students can get the health services they need. We have also made it easier for schools to leverage Medicaid to deliver mental health and substance use care to millions of children and youth. And we are engaging youth as partners to develop and strengthen community strategies for youth to better educate and support their peers, working toward our shared goal of getting ahead of substance use before it starts.
Over the past 3 years, we have made historic investments in strengthening local youth prevention and public awareness campaigns across the country. Through our Drug-Free Communities Support Program, we are implementing prevention efforts in all 50 States, significantly reducing youth substance use in these communities. Further, my Administration launched a social media campaign to educate youth on the dangers of fentanyl and the life-saving effects of opioid overdose reversal medications. We also used this prevention content to prepare classroom resources for middle and high school students. Together, we are emboldening our Nation’s youth with the knowledge and tools they need to make informed and empowered decisions.
We are also taking aggressive action to reduce the supply of illicit drugs before they hit our streets. Under my leadership, Federal law enforcement is keeping more deadly drugs out of our communities than ever before by stopping illicit fentanyl at ports of entry, prosecuting thousands of drug traffickers, sanctioning individuals and organizations involved in the global illicit drug trade, and engaging globally to disrupt drug trafficking organizations.
We have made immense progress in preventing the use and misuse of substances and preventing youth from developing substance use disorders. We are mobilizing communities to take action and stay informed, providing historic amounts of funding to prevent substance use and overdose, and focusing on what works — evidence-based policies, strategies, and programs. Together with youth, parents, mentors, and leaders from all sectors of communities around our great Nation, we are working to ensure every young person is nurtured in a safe, supportive, thriving environment. But to improve the lives of youth impacted by substance use and honor all the young lives tragically lost to an overdose, we can and must do more. This month, we recommit to fulfilling our Nation’s duty to leave no one behind and extend support to those who need it. America’s youth deserve nothing less than our unwavering commitment to their well-being.

The LEHOM playpens violate federal safety regulations for play yards because the included basketball hoop accessory presents a head entrapment hazard and in addition, children can become entrapped beneath the mattress, posing a suffocation hazard. Also, the zippers contain levels of lead that exceed the federal lead content ban and the PVC suction cups contain levels of phthalates that exceed the federal phthalate prohibition. Lead and phthalates are toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects.
The importer, RYZ International Trading Limited, of Hong Kong, has not agreed to offer an acceptable recall remedy to consumers.
The LEHOM playpens were sold online at Amazon.com from May 2022 through July 2023 for between $103 and $140. The playpens have gray fabric with white mesh sides, printed road and animal designs on the reversible mattress and a basketball hoop that attaches to the top rail with multi-colored balls. The playpens are labeled with “RYZ LOGISTICS INC” with model number “BPP-DG” printed on a label attached to the top rail. The playpens measure about 80 inches long, 60 inches wide and 28 inches tall.
CPSC urges consumers to stop using and destroy all LEHOM baby playpens immediately.To destroy the product, first disassemble the fabric cover from the frame. Cut up the play yard cover, mattress pad, and basketball hoop and then dispose of the pieces in the trash or recycling.
