Description: This recall involves Petidoux’s short sleeve/shorts children’s pajama set, advertised as “Celebration Girl’s Summer Pajamas”. The 100% cotton pajama top and bottom are white with an allover firework print in the colors red, white and blue. The top has blue trim on the sleeves and collar, and a small, blue bow on the center of the collar. The shorts have blue trim on the bottom. The pajama sets were sold in sizes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10 and 12. The neck is printed with a label in both English and French. The English is printed on the left and states “Petidoux”, “WEAR SNUG-FITTING NOT FLAME RESISTANT”, “100% PIMA COTTON”, “Designed in New York”, “Made in Peru”, “RN 143635”, the size, washing instructions and lot number #713705.

Remedy: Consumers should immediately take the recalled pajamas away from children, stop using them, and contact Petidoux for a full refund. Consumers will be asked to destroy the garments by cutting the top and bottom in half and disposing of them in accordance with local and state recycling procedures. Consumers must send a photo of the destroyed garment to customerservice@petidoux.com. Upon receipt of the photo, consumers will have the option of receiving a full refund or a store credit worth 1.25 times the purchase price.

Description: This recall involves the ORIGINAL 6 bicycles from model years 2016 to 2020 and OFF 5 & OFF AIR 5 and OFF 6 & OFF AIR 6 bicycles from model years 2019 to 2020. The bikes are designed for children between 10 and 14 years old. “woom” is displayed on the sides of the downtube in white letters. It is also visible on the front of the headtube. The ORIGINAL 6 bikes were sold in red, green, blue, purple, and yellow colors. The OFF mountain bikes were available in black frames with silver forks.

Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled bicycles and contact woom bikes USA for instructions on how to get a free replacement crankset. Consumers can use the online crank checker tool found at woom.com to determine if their bicycle is affected by the recall. Consumers with affected cranksets will be sent a free replacement that must be installed by a bike repair technician at their preferred bike shop. Reimbursement in the way of a check will be issued for the consumer’s crank replacement expense upon submission of the repair receipt. All known purchasers are being contacted directly by woom.

The compact four-wheel foldable strollers are designed for children aged approximately 0 to 48 months. The wheels have a white reflective center. The serial number is located on a tracking label under the stroller seat.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is warning consumers to immediately stop using and dispose of Magnetic Chess Games sold by Auncley. CPSC testing determined the magnets do not comply with the requirements of the mandatory federal regulation for magnet toys and pose a risk of serious injury or death if ingested by children.

CPSC issued a Notice of Violation to the seller, Auncley, of China, but the firm has not agreed to recall the Magnetic Chess Games or offer a remedy to consumers.

When high-powered magnets are swallowed, the ingested magnets can attract to each other, or to another metal object, and become lodged in the digestive system. This can result in perforations, twisting and/or blockage of the intestines, infection, blood poisoning and death.

CPSC estimates 2,400 magnet ingestions were treated in hospital emergency departments annually from 2017 through 2021. CPSC is aware of eight deaths since 2005 through 2021 involving the ingestion of hazardous magnets, including two outside of the United States.

The games were sold in a blue box with the words “Magnetic”, “Magnetic Effect Chess” and “Intelligence Strategy Game” on the front and back of the box. The box may have a white sticker label with Amazon’s FN SKU: X00422USLT. The game includes about 20 loose black magnets, a yellow string, a plastic drawstring storage bag, and instructions for play.  Although marketed as a chess game, it does not contain chess pieces. The magnetic games were sold online at www.amazon.com for about $10.

CPSC urges consumers to stop using the magnetic chess games immediately, take them away from children, and dispose of them or take them to your local recycling facility. Do not sell or give away these hazardous magnetic games.

Units: Approximately 2.1 million swings were sold in the United States, about 99,000 swings were sold in Canada and about 500 swings were sold in Mexico. 

Description: Washington, D.C. —The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Fisher-Price are announcing the recall of Fisher-Price Snuga Swings. The swing should never be used for sleep and bedding materials should never be added to it. If the product is used for sleep or bedding material is added, the headrest and body support insert on the seat pad can increase the risk of suffocation. Consumers should immediately remove both the headrest (by cutting the tether) and the body support insert from the seat pad before continuing to use the swing for awake-time activities. 

Between 2012 and 2022, there have been reports of five deaths involving infants 1 to 3 months of age when the product was used for sleep. In most of those incidents, the infants were unrestrained and bedding materials were added to the product. 

Consumers are reminded to never use these products for sleep and to never add blankets or other materials to the swing, even after the headrest and the body support insert have been removed. Parents and caregivers should never use any inclined seated products, such as swings, gliders, soothers, and rockers, for infant sleep and should not leave infants in these products unsupervised, unrestrained, or with bedding material due to the risk of suffocation. 

Since 2010, approximately 2.1 million swings were sold in the United States, about 99,000 swings were sold in Canada and about 500 swings were sold in Mexico. 

The recalled Snuga Swing is an infant swing with a front to back and side-to-side motion. The swing has 90 degrees of rotation, two seat back positions and folds up for storage. The Snuga Swing platform has a total of 21 models, which feature the same design with minor differences in fabric colors and toy accessories. The following chart includes a complete list of Snuga Swing models included in the recall. The model number and name are printed on the underside of the swing motor housing.

CPSC continues to urge consumers to place infants on their backs for sleep. The best place for an infant to sleep is on a firm, flat surface in a crib, bassinet, or play yard, with nothing but a fitted sheet. Infants who fall asleep in an inclined or upright position should be moved to a safe sleep environment with a firm, flat surface such as a crib, bassinet, or play yard. In 2022, Congress enacted the Safe Sleep for Babies Act, under which inclined sleepers for infants are banned hazardous products.

The Snuga Swings were sold at Amazon, Toys R Us, Walmart/Sams Club, and Target nationwide from October 2010 through January 2024 for about $160.   

The swings were distributed by Fisher-Price of East Aurora, New York. The swings are manufactured in China and Mexico. 

Remedy: Consumers should immediately remove both the headrest (by cutting the tether) and the body support insert from the seat pad before continuing to use the swing. Fisher-Price will provide a $25 refund to consumers who remove and destroy the headrest and body support insert. Instructions can be found at www.service.mattel.com.

The playpens are dark gray, black and light gray fabric with white mesh sides. The mattress is reversible with printed road and animal designs. The playpens come with a basketball hoop that attaches to the top rail and multicolored balls.

Description: This recall involves NPW Halloween Projector Flashlights. The flashlight is orange with white stripes and a black end piece and measures about six inches long by one inch wide. The product comes with three Halloween themed projector covers, including pumpkin, ghost and skull patterns that fit over the black end piece to change the pattern of the flashlight. The flashlight uses two AA batteries.

Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled flashlights and return them to any Target store for a full refund. Consumers should turn off the product, remove the batteries, mark the product with “recalled” in permanent marker prior to returning the flashlight to Target. Target is contacting all known purchasers directly.

Incidents/Injuries: The firm has received nine reports of overheating including six reports of smoke or fire, resulting in four reports of minor burn injuries.
